The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management ODPEM is urging businesses and individuals to donate items for care packages and relief aid for flood victims.
Director General of ODPEM Major Clive Davis says care packages with items already acquired by ODPEM have been air lifted to some marooned residents in Trout Hall, Clarendon.
These care packages include toiletries, food and bedding.
Major Davis is calling for support from the private sector and the public, to provide more aid.
He says plans are in place to send care packages to other marooned communities including Big Pond in St Catherine.
Major Davis says the National Emergency Operations Centre remains activated at level 2, the National Works Agency continues to do assessments, and the fire brigade has been helping residents wash out mud and silt from their homes.
He says volunteers are assessing flood effects on state property.
