Teams from the National Works Agency (NWA) were kept busy in several communities today (May 18) clearing roadways across the island.
Portland, St. Catherine and Clarendon are among the worst affected parishes.
Senior Communications Officer at the NWA, Ramona Lawson says several areas in clarendon have been opened to vehicular access.
She states that the team in Portland is facing challenges in clearing a road in Hope Bay.
Ms. Lawson says there are blockages in several areas of St. Catherine which was also battered by heavy rains.
