Leaders Portmore United last night failed to capitalize on a chance to go 15 points clear at the top of the standings in the Red Stripe National Premier Football League.

This as they were beaten 1-nil by Harbour View who now shot back into the top six of standings in the league.

Portmore United were poised to extend their lead when Boys Town who started the day in second place suffered a setback beaten 1-nil by Sporting Central Academy some three hours earlier.

Boys Town have now dropped to third on goal difference behind Waterhouse who beat Village United 1-nil to move to 51 points like Boys Town but take over second place with a better goal difference.

Portmore United path even appeared clearer as defending champions Tivoli Garden who started the round in third also suffered defeat losing 1-nil to Humble Lion.

Tivoli Gardens have now dropped to fourth in the standings.

Elsewhere, Newton Sterling scored a brace to help Arnett Gardens beat Reno F.C. 2-1 while Highgate United turned back Montego Bay United 2-nil completing a bad day four Western Jamaica teams as all three crashed to defeat.
