Ninja Man Out Of Hospital

Ninja Man is out-and-about after spending a day in hospital.

The veteran dancehall deejay who was admitted at the KPH Hospital following a motor vehicle accident on February 28 (02.28.13), tells Music News that doctors released him after proper observation.

Ninja Man is currently out on bail along with his son in the sum of $2 million each for the March 16, 2009 murder of a 20 year old man.

Billboard Premiere; Great Achievement For Reggae And Jamaica Says Mavado

Mavado is in high spirits following his billboard accomplishment.

Vado has become the first Caribbean dancehall entertainer to have his video exclusively premiere on Billboard after the visuals for his single, 'Take It' featuring Karian Sang debuted on the magazine's website on Monday.

Mavado tells Music News that it is a great achievement for dancehall and Jamaica.

Producer Niney Seeks New Talent

Music producer Winston "Niney" Holness AKA "Niney The Observer" in his attempt to revive the prestige once held by Jamaican artist and reggae music is searching for new talent.

Niney tells Music News that in his quest for talent from all genres of music, he will host auditions every Wednesday and Saturday.

Niney is expected to launch his new studio, Observer Sound Box on April 9, 2013 and will showcase some of his finest recorded works.

Buju Banton's Computer Expert Gets Stringent Time Frame

Buju Banton’s computer forensics expert, Larry Daniel can only examine from Feb. 14, 2011, to March 8, 2011 on Terri Wright’s computer.

That’s according to an order filed Friday by U.S. District Judge James S. Moody Jr., who is trying to sort out allegations that juror Terri Wright conducted improper research during the 2011 trial.

Promoter Pulls The Plug On "Follow Di Arrow" But Lady G And Vegas Left Disrespected

The 2013 staging FOLLOW DI ARROW was plagued by lengthy delays due to on and off rainfall, which may have contributed to the poor support.

Nonetheless, those who braved the conditions were treated to excellent performances. Many of the entertainers upheld the promoters theme and kept their performances clean.

Freddie McGregor and George Nooks delivered. Wickerman and Nitty Kutchie, Major Mackerel and Louie Culture were also good. Other great performances came from Coco Tea, I-Octane, Bounty Killa, Sizzla and Lady Saw.

Rohan Marley Ends Engagement…

Rohan Marley has ended his engagement to Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana.

In a recent interview with international Open Magazine, Marley stated that he still had unresolved feelings for Lauryn Hill. Rohan was in a 10-year-long relationship with the R&B singer before they split in 2011, and the former couple have five children together.

As it relates to his failed engagement to the Brazilian model, he said he’s spending some time alone at this point in his life.

Black Chiney Selector Arrested...

Was Bobby Chin of Black Chiney arrested in Florida? SO TRUE!!!!! According to florida.arrests.org, Black Chiney’s Bobby Chin, born Robert Lee was arrested on February 26, 2013. The charges are listed as unknown. However, a mug shot of a weary looking Bobby Chin is also posted on the site by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Meanwhile efforts to get a comment from the other members of Black Chiney proved futile.

Nicki Minaj & French Montana Sample Sly's "Murder She Wrote" Rhythm

More international celebs continue to cash in on brand Jamaica.

Rapper French Montana and Nicki Minaj are the latest to capitalize on the Jamaican dialect and music. In a new collab dubbed Freak which features the two, Sly and Robbie’s “Murder She Wrote” rhythm made popular by Chaka Demus and Pliers in 90’s is being sampled.

During the making of the video for the song Freak, Nickki Minaji is being advised by French Montana to call out some Jamaicans in an effort to sound hardcore.

Ninja Man has been admitted in hospital following a motor vehicle accident last night. (02.28.13)

The veteran dancehall deejay speaks with Music News from his hospital bed.

Ninja Man is currently out on bail along with his son in the sum of $2 million each for the March 16, 2009 murder of a 20 year old man.

The veteran dancehall deejay is expected to return to court on May 13, 2013 where the case is set for mention.

Konshens has team up with international rapper and producer Lil Jon on ''Big and Sexy Remix''. 

The track, produced by Mark ''Mark Hize'' Collinder and Konshens for Subkonshus Music, has an uptempo vibe that compliments Lil Jon's energetic hip hop style.

Lil Jon, known for producing many hits such as 'YEAH' by Usher and 'Get low' Remix featuring Elephant Man and Busta Rhymes among others, has always been a supporter and lover of the Jamaican culture. He was ecstatic about the project and is looking forward to its release.
