A civil suit against Vybz Kartel and his agent Claude Mills was adjourned in the black river R-M court yesterday (01/07/09).

Gt Taylor is suing Vybz Kartel for the return of his money following the non appearance of the deejay at the annual Gt Taylor Christmas Extravaganza held on Independence Park in black river on December 25 last year.

In a previous court appearance on Wednesday, May 6, GT’S lawyer had indicated to the judge that Kartel’s lawyer Seymour Stewart had informed him that they were putting together the money for repayment.

It is understood that to date Kartel and his attorney have not honoured their promise.

About IRIE FM

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
