Shaggy plans charity show

Shaggy held a press conference earlier today (08/12/08) to update the public about a charity concert he’s planning for January 3 which is to raise funds for the Bustamante Children’ Hospital.

Recently on the Entertainment Buzz Shaggy spoke about what prompted him to adopt this project.

Shaggy is estimating to raise $2 million US to facilitate in the purchasing of equipment for the Bustamante hospital for children in St. Andrew. The concert will be held on the lawns of Jamaica House on January 3, 2009.

In relating news, Shaggy is leaving the island this week for a performance in Rwanda, Africa.

Shaggy, who has again been nominated for a Grammy, this time for his album Intoxication, will perform on Saturday night before thousands in what is expected to be one of the biggest concerts in Rwanda.
