La Lewis has decided to play hardball with the Enforcement Team of the National Solid Waste Management Authority.

The self-proclaimed 7star general is expected today to pay seventy-thousand dollars ($70,000.00) for seven (7) breaches of the National Solid Waste Act for illegally marking or defacing public spaces across the corporate area. However La Lewis tells Music News that he will not pay any money to Solid Waste nor will he attend court.

When Joan Gordon Webley Executive Director of the National Solid Waste Management Authority was contacted she requested we call later as the Solid Waste Agency is awaiting documents that wouldn’t be available until the end of the day.

La Lewis who was fined on August 15 was given twenty-one days (or up until September 5) to pay the fines, or appear before the Half-Way-Tree R-M Court.

Keep it locked for the 411 as this story unfolds.

About IRIE FM

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
