While Bounty Killa and his accountant approach the Tax Administration Services Department to clarify the amount owed in taxes, his lawyer Linda Wright says the deejay is prepared to pay what is owed.

She explains to Music News that Bounty Killa has always paid his taxes and that the accountant is today verifying what period the deejay owes for.

Bounty Killa reportedly owes $12 million dollars in taxes.

Tax officials put a damper on the alliance leader’s lifestyle when they took his two high end motor vehicles, a Range Rover and a Land Cruiser in a bid to recover the money owed by the deejay.

Bounty Killa is among a number of dancehall deejays who have had some sort of run-in with tax invasion authorities. Elephant Man recently had his Benz taken away while Beenie Man was dragged in the courts.

About IRIE FM

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
