KENTUCKY KID DEAD

Entertainer Kentucky Kid was shot killed police at his residence in Kingston on Tuesday.

Information from the CCN is that about 9:40 p.m., a team of police went to Ivy Green Mews where Kentucky Kid, fitting the description of a man they were reportedly searching for was seen, in a section of the community.

He was accosted and he reportedly pulled a firearm and opened fire at the lawmen: the fire was returned and he was hit.

He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The weapon was seized and sent to the forensic laboratory for ballistic testing.

The Bureau of Special Investigations is investigating.

Kentucky Kid was best known for his dancehall single Clap You Hand.
