JAMAICA MAKES $1.5 MILLION US DOLLARS FROM AMERICAN FILM
The country’s treasury and entertainment value has received a significant boost of about one point five million u-s dollars.
This as U-S based film Giants Twentieth Century Fox recently shot in Jamaica, a film called Witchita or Knight And Day, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
Industry and Investment Minister Karl Samuda said Jamaica promotions, JAMPRO, was instrumental in arranging the shooting of segments of the film in Jamaica. It was shot at Frenchman’s Cove in Portland
Minister Samuda said he is pleased with the capital and exposure earned from the venture. (CLIP)
The minister was speaking at a news conference this morning.
Tom cruise had previously come to Jamaica to soot another film, the 1988 classic Cocktail.
It was shot by U-S based touchstone pictures, in Blue Lagoon in Portland.
