I-Maroon is not as salt as the deejay thinks as he is alive and well contrary to reports that he died a tragic death.

News reports surfaced on the weekend that I-Maroon was beheaded and his locks cut after he was caught robbing a church in Hanover.

This morning the deejay passed through the studios of IRIE FM expressing shock at the news. (CLIP)

Just recently I-Maroon was beaten by a group of men in Portland after he refused to do dub-plates for free.

About IRIE FM

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
