FINAL FAREWELL TO SONNY BRADSHAW

Jamaicans today are paying their final respects to legendary musician Sonny Bradshaw.
A memorial service began at 1 o'clock at the University Chapel in Mona, St. Andrew this afternoon.
Sonny Bradshaw died on October 10 from the effects of stroke, which he suffered in August.His body was sent back to Jamaica following a musical ceremony in London, England on October 27.Mr. Bradshaw was a giant on the Jamaican music scene for many years as a jazz pioneer, extraordinary trumpeter, band leader, teacher and creator of teenage dance party, which helped to bring Jamaican popular music to the airwaves.He is also credited with creating the Ocho Rios Jazz Festival.
Sonny Bradshaw was 83-years-old when he died.News Category:
