DOWNSOUND RECORDS TO RELEASE ALBUM ON ITUNES

DownSound Records will release its One Drop compilation Riddim, The Prophet on I Tunes tomorrow May 2.

The album features Capleton’s big tune Head Above The Water, Harry Toddler’s Pray Fi Dem, Anthony B, Sizzla, Lutan Fire, D’ Angel, Prodical Son, George Nooks, One Third, Natural Black and others.

Marketing on the album according to DownSound CEO, Josef Bogdanovich will have a broad international approach targeting the US, UK and Japanese markets.

Bogdanovich says the project is DownSound Records first album release on the I Tunes network. The CEO adds that the company has several albums due for release in the next 30 days and wants to put product in the best possible light.

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
