On National Heroes day, the late crown prince of reggae Dennis Brown will be honored by the Jamaican Government.

In recognition of his great outstanding musical achievements, on October  17 the Order of Distinction, Commander Class, will be bestowed on the singer posthumously.

Dennis Brown is without a doubt one of Jamaica’s most influential music icons, throughout his career he recorded countless hit singles and albums. His body of work which spans from the late 60s to the time of his passing in 1999 is arguably one of the greatest catalogues of music in the modern era of Jamaican music.

The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
