Oblique Seville among eight recipients of the JOA/Olympic Solidarity Scholarship
World 100 metres champion Oblique Seville and Olympic swimming representative Sabrina Lyn were among some eight athletes who were named recipients of the Jamaica Olympic Association /Olympic Solidarity Scholarship award.
The other awardees who put pen to paper at the Courtleigh Hotel in Kingston earlier today, include” – World championship bronze medalist Bryan Level , many times national high jump champion Lamar Distin and world championship sprinter relay bronze medalist Akeem Blake.
The list is completed by national surfer of the year 2025 – Elishama Beckford, national swimming record holder Colin Mckenzie, and swimming sensation Kaheem Lozer.
The scholarship serves as a cushion to support the athletes with regards to training and tournament preparation, through off-setting the cost of nutrition, traveling, medical expenses among other areas.
