Bounty Killa is without a Range Rover and Land Cruiser after tax officials clamp down on the dancehall deejay this morning (27.08.10).

Music News understands that the cars were taken as a means of recovering taxes owed by the deejay.

Head of special enforcement team at tax office Gladston Turner did not state the specific amount of monies owed by Bounty Killer but says the veteran deejay owes the tax administration a substantial amount in unpaid income taxes.

Numerous efforts made by Music News to get a comment from the leader of the Alliance proved futile.

Bounty Killa is among a number of dancehall deejays who have had some sort of run-in with tax invasion authorities. Elephant Man recently had his Benz taken away while Beenie Man was dragged in the courts.

About IRIE FM

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
