Rocksteady and Reggae pioneer Bob Andy is currently in hospital recovering.

Music News understands that the veteran entertainer collapsed at home last Friday and was rushed to the University Hospital.

Bob Andy is reported to have suffered from a bleeding stomach ulcer.

Bob Andy’s hits include I've Got to Go Back Home, Fire Burning and Too Experienced. He has written popular tracks for the likes of reggae frontrunners Ken Boothe and Marcia Griffith including her hits Feel Like Jumping and Truly.

Bob Andy is currently involved in writing and recording music for Dominican opera singer Marie Claire.
