Following his public apology to the lesbian and gay community, Beenie Man can now work in the United States.

Music News understands that the dancehall deejay had his work permit reinstated sometime last week. Beenie Man is expected to headline the 'Groovin In the Park' concert on July 1 in New York.

Beenie was among some of the top entertainers whose visas and work permits were revoked by the US Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica in April 2010.

The deejay who was given a visitor visa earlier this year is today travelling to Jamaica from the United States.

About IRIE FM

The station officially went on air on August 1, 1990. Reggae in the morning, Reggae in the evening, Reggae in the night was the cry. Critics said it was impossible to sustain a 24-hour Reggae music station. In fact, so strong was the impact, it proved that this format was something the Jamaican public yearned for. The 'little station that could' got all media houses in Jamaica to stand up and take note.
