Two charged with broadcaster’s shooting

Police have charged Kool 97 FM broadcaster 44 year old Wayne Whyte in relation to the attempted murder of his colleague Jody Ann Gray.

Another man held in connection with the incident 35 year old Safari Farr of Harbour View St. Andrew has also been charged.

The Constabulary Communications Network (CCN) says whyte was charged yesterday afternoon with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and shooting with intent.

White and Farr are booked to appear in the St. Catherine resident magistrates court next Tuesday, April 17.

The charges arose out of the shooting of 28 year old Jody Ann Gray outside her home in Portmore St. Catherine last Wednesday.

A third man is still being questioned by the detectives.
