Seven in custody for August Town murder
Up to late this evening (June 26) only 7 of the 15 persons being sought in relation to the August Town murder on Saturday had turned themselves in to the police.
The seventh person, Julando Stephens, turned himself in today.
The other 6 were detained between sunday and yesterday.
They are: Jehus Ferguson, Michael Stephens, Nicholas Nesbeth, Omar Walker, Romaine Simmonds and Marvin Dubidad.
The police are appealing to 8 other men being sought in relation to Saturdays double murder in August Town, to turn themselves in.
They are: Dwayne Markland, Rohan Myles, Denver Rockwood, Omar Randal otherwise called Jaques; Michael Morgan otherwise called Frisky; Dilton Foster otherwise called Dil; Owen Whitely otherwise called Howie; and Omar LaTouche otherwise called Impac.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of these men is being asked to immediately contact the August Town police at 927-2223 or 927-2184, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
The men have been listed as either wanted or as persons of interest in relation to the deaths of Moses Francis and Rohan Simpson, in August Town on Saturday, June 23.
Police say Francis and Simpson were shot and killed during confrontations between rival gangs.
Irie FM News understands that 2 other unidentified men were killed in the same community on Friday, June 22.
Police are yet to confirm the Friday incident and it is not clear if the Friday and Saturday shootings are related.
