Man drowns at beach in Runaway Bay

The Runaway Bay Police in St. Ann are probing a suspected case of drowning at a beach in the area.

 

The dead man has been identified as 23 year old Kenrick Jarret, of Cardiff Hall, Runaway Bay.

 

Police say he allegedly drowned sometime after 9 o'clock this morning (June 26) at a beach adjacent the Flavas Beach in Runaway Bay.

 

Reports are that jarred was seen floating face down in the water.

 

Users of the beach who became suspicious reportedly raised an alarm and someone pulled him ashore.

 

CPR was administered, however, Jarret did not respond.

 

He was pronounced dead at hospital.
