Jody Ann Gray recuperating well in hospital
Media personality Jody Ann Gray is said to be stable and recovering well in hospital.
It’s also understood that Ms. Gray's unborn baby is doing well.
Ms. Grey, who is 7 months pregnant, is employed to the government-owned Kool 97 FM, based in Kingston.
She was shot three times at her home in Portmore St. Catherine on Wednesday night.
The three persons, who were arrested after the incident, remain in custody.
Among them is another media personality, 44-year-old Broadcaster Wayne Whyte.
They are being questioned by police.
The Portmore Police report that Ms. Gray drove up to her home about 9:55 Wednesday evening.
As she was about to alight from her motor car, she was reportedly pounced upon by a man who shot her once in the face and twice in the arm.
The man allegedly tried to escape in a waiting blue Toyota Corolla motor car.
Shortly after, police intercepted the motor car, which had three men aboard, including Whyte.
Police say they also seized a firearm suspected to be the weapon used in the shooting.
Meanwhile, the Transport Ministry has condemned the shooting of Ms. Gray.
In a statement, the Ministry says its hoped that Jody Ann and her unborn child will survive the ordeal.
Transport Minister Dr. Omar Davies said the Ministry has pledged to lend whatever support it can to their healing process.
The Minister also commends the police for their quick action in apprehending alleged persons associated with the attack.
The Transport Minister has oversight responsibility for Areotel, the company that operates Kool 97 fm.
