JLP Councillor Wood hospitalised

Jamaica Labour Party Councillor for the Fair Hill Division in East Portland, Derron Wood has been hospitalised after reportedly suffering a stroke.

JLP General Secretary, Aundre Franklin says Mr Wood was taken to the Port Antonio hospital sometime this morning.

Mr Franklin says Mr Wood is expected to be transferred to a hospital in Kingston.

He says the councillor remains in high spirits and is to undergo a series of tests.
