JCF mourns passing of two senior cops

The police force has been plunged into mourning.

Two of its senior officers died in hospital last night after brief illnesses.

They are 46 year old Commanding Officer for Clarendon, SSP Dayton Henry, and 54 year old Inspector Delvin Grant, who was assigned to the security detail, for Transport Minister Dr. Omar Davies. 

SSP Henry, who served in the Jamaica Constabulary Force for 27 years, also worked in the divisions of St. Andrew North, St. Andrew Central and the Professional Standards Branch.

SSP Henry assumed command of the Clarendon police, some four years ago.

Inspector grant had 35 years service in the JCF, which spanned the police training school, St. Andrew Central Division, Professional Standards Branch, Anti-Corruption Branch and the Protective Services Division.
