Death by misadventure

A butcher died in Denbigh May Pen Clarendon yesterday morning following what police have described as a misadventure.

28 year-old Nicholas Merchant was at his workplace about 9:00 a.m. when the incident took place.

Investigators say a knife he was using slipped and impaled his abdomen.

Merchant was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations continue.
