Newly promoted Premier League side Benfica were beaten by the West Florida University in a preseason practice match at Drax Hall.
The visiting team featuring one Jamaican player defeated the St. Ann side 1-0 courtesy of a 1st half strike.
The match was just a part of the stop over activities for the West Florida University team which was passing through Ocho Rios on a cruise ship.
They are scheduled to make another stop in the Cayman Islands on Thursday where they will face the Carl Brown managed Cayman Islands national under 23 team.
Meanwhile Benfica the first St. Ann side to see National Premier League action in over a decade, will start their intense preparation under new coach Harold Thomas.
