Three men charged with the murder of two policemen on May 23, are to appear in the gun court next week.

Two of the men were charged last Thursday, after they were held in late May.

They are 30-year-old Oswald Kemp, otherwise called ‘Frass’ and 22-year-old Wayne

Brown, otherwise called ‘Mark’ or ‘Crawb-Up’, both from Mountain View Avenue.

The other co-accused is 30 year old Dwayne Forbes otherwise called “Stamma” also of Mountain View Avenue in East Kingston. He was charged earlier.

The three men charged in connection with the deaths of Sergeant Wayne Henriques and Constable Jason Davis.

The charges against Forbes, Kemp and Brown originate from an incident on Sunday May 23.

Police had reported that a deployment of police officers, including Sergeant Henriques and Constable Davis, responded to reports of heavily armed men in the Mountain View Avenue area.

On their arrival, the team of police officers was ambushed by armed men who opened fire, killing Sergeant Henriques and Constable Davis.

The incident in which the policemen were killed and the others wounded came at the beginning of the West Kingston uprising.

Each of the men is also facing six counts of shooting with intent, as six other members of the police team were also shot and wounded in the incident.

The Major Investigations Taskforce is probing the killing of the policemen.
