Dancehall fans blast GQ over “ring” trend

by September 8th, 2017

Dancehall lovers blasted GQ this week after the popular publication credited Harry Styles for a trend they believe was started by dancehall veteran, Shabba Ranks.

GQ sent out a tweet that reads, “Thanks to Harry Styles, wearing multiple rings is now a thing.”

Shabba Ranks fans did not hesitate to blast GQ.

Some fans argued that Shabba Ranks made the trend of wearing multiple rings popular in the 90s. While others question the ages of the people running GQ.

Jamaican entertainers Lee Scratch Perry, General Trees, Super Cat, Tiger, Shabba Ranks, Ninja Man and many others wore multiple rings long before the birth of 23-year-old entertainer Harry Styles.
