The Clarendon Gaters are the 2015 Berger Elite Netball League champions.
The Gaters claimed the title for the first time after posting a 35-27 win over the St. James Sharpes at the Leila Robinson courts on Wednesday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the best of 3 finals.
Kadie-Ann Dehaney, who was named the Finals MVP, led the way with a game high 33 goals from 39 attempts.
Jodi-Ann Ffrench-Kentish meanwhile converted 11 of 21 attempts to lead the St. James attack in the absence of regular shooter Deneen Taylor who went overseas.
Gators coach coach Dalton Hinds was happy for the win and says his team had decided not to let the series extend to a third game.
Losing coach Jennifer Brown who paid tribute to the Gaters, analyzed the shortcomings of her team.
