Another Escapee from Ocho Rios Police Lock Up Recaptured

Another of the 5 prisoners who escaped the Ocho Rios lock up in St Ann has been recaptured.

Head of the St Ann Police, Superintendent Gary Francis says 29 year old David Anderson of Drax Hall, St Ann was recaptured yesterday evening in St Mary by the police.

Anderson is in custody for rape.

Another of the escapees, 48 year old Gary Ferguson was recaptured in a section of St Ann yesterday afternoon.

Meantime, the police are urging the other three men to turn themselves in.

21 year old Nicholas Massop of Pineapple Place Ocho Rios, who was wanted for murder, shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm, 26- year-old Renardo Williams of Top Milford, Ocho Rios, St. Ann, was in custody for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and 61-year-old Leroy Laud of Paggee, Port Maria, St. Mary who is wanted for illegal possession of firearm remain at large.

About 4:00 A.M yesterday, a team of officers was conducting a routine cell check exercise, when they saw the ventilation grille in the ceiling cut and the prisoners gone.

The police are reminding family members and residents that it is an offence to harbour a criminal.
