218 people killed in 99 incidents of multiple murders this year; Police Commissioner expresses concern
Ninety-nine (99) incidents of multiple-murders have been recorded in the country, since the start of the year.
Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson said 218 people were killed in these incidents.
Speaking during the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s monthly press briefing this afternoon (October 4), Commissioner Anderson expressed concern about what he said is a growing trend of multiple-murders.
He said criminals are not being partial about who they kill.
Noting that over 15 percent of murders so far this year are attributed to poorly managed inter-personal conflicts, Major General Anderson said the matter must be addressed.
